I know that as we face hard trials the only way to overcome them is by turning to our Heavenly Father and asking for help. I can testify of this because I have had to turn to our Heavenly Father many times. I know that as we do turn to him and live righteously we will not ever be alone.
I was a senior in high school and I had a lot of big decisions to figure out. Up to this point I had always relied on my parents testimony to get me through hard times or to help me make decisions.
It was nearing the end of my senior year, and I had a steady boyfriend, but my goal was to go to BYU-Idaho and start school. My parents both thought that it would be best for me to get out on my own for a bit and figure out who I was before I got married. I knew that I had a lot to figure out, and at first I thought that when the time came I would just know. I applied to the university and was accepted, but still didn't have my mind made up of what I was going to do. It was about a month before I had to leave and I began kneeling down and praying asking Heavenly Father what I should do, and about three days into this I got the answer that I should go to school. So I acted upon that and went to school. I am so thankful that I had that time to be myself and get started on my education. I later married my boyfriend at the time, and everything worked out. I am so thankful for the help and guidance that I received. I know that without God I am nothing!
